Exactly how I felt. I read this books for the unbreakable love between Bella and Edward which Stephenie Meyer clearly portrayed in Twilight. With each installment, that love seems to get muddies and trampled more and more. Toward the end, I was feeling better about it and really looked forward to the next book. There's a stark contrast between the smooth maturity of the much older vampires, and the young, rash and impetuous teenage werewolves but the object of their affection is the same.
Bella winds up torn, wanting to be able to be just friends with Jake who obviously wants more, and desiring Edward the ultimate object of her heart's desire. She winds up hurting both men over and over again, much to her dismay as she is unwilling to cut either out of her life.
Someone, something, is looking for Bella, and everyone's lives are in grave danger yet again.
I don't know how this girl can do it. She manages to have to run for her life on a regular basis and still keeps up all the drama of a torn love life.
I must say however, Bella's spunk had me laughing my head off with her reaction to a 'good natured' romantic assault by Jacob.
The ending of this book is OVERLY Indulgent (not that I mind) playing to exactly what I wanted to see. So it's not something you want to miss if you're already a fan of the series.
Highschool is rarely a thought any longer, and Bella does graduate during the book, so by this point there's a bit more maturity to the whole story. Again this book as the rest was a quick read, though thick, it's hard to put down, and it only took me about a day to finish the book.
