Customer Rating: Summary: Schweet Comment: Owned approximately one month and so far so great. No more stiff neck and shoulder while talking on the phone with long-winded people. Yes the unit and keypad are small, but what do people want - a QWERTY keyboard strapped to their hip? It's very portable and easy to slip on, and unfortunately, off your belt or pajama pants elastic waistband. That's one of the two reasons for only 4 stars - the clip doesn't seem to grab too well as I found out after watching it crash hard to the linoleum floor a couple of times in the first week. It made a disturbing loud crack when it hit. The great thing is NOTHING broke! This thing is solid and well built. I have learned to be aware of where the cord is, as catching it on something was the reason for it flying off my hip. The other reason for 4 stars is there was a "tick tick tick" sound coming from the earpiece as a result interference from my Motorola wireless router/modem. This was solved by disabling the wireless feature of the modem as I'm not currently using it. I'm not sure what I'm going to do when I need to use the wireless. Also, I have had no complaints from people not being able to hear me clearly - just have to make sure the mouthpiece is not too low on your chin.
Lastly - I'm a very fastidious, picky, difficult to satisfy, easy-to-return type of person....and I'm Very satisfied with this product...BUY IT!
Customer Rating: Summary: You probably won't find a better one, but try... Comment: This was a major diappointment for me. The headset is good and once you figure it out, is very versatile. However the control module is too small and the buttons are not laid out intuitively. Worst of all, the clip refuses to clip to anything securely. The phone falls out of my breast pocket and won't clip to my belt or pants pocket in any useful manner. I work most of the time with the phone lying on the desk, waiting to fall off. Customer Rating: Summary: Good for the price Comment: I work from home and am on the phone for a minimum of 6 hours a day. I purchased this product a couple of weeks ago and thus far have been happy. The only real issue that I have seen is interference with my wireless connection. Easily fixed though by hitting the channel button. It's lightweight and durable. My son loves that he can see the light lit up when daddy's on the phone. He knows not to talk. Sound quality is ok for the price. Size is good. The only issue with the size is that dial pad is small. Overall, it is a good headset/phone combo and I'd recommend it to anyone not using a wireless connection. Customer Rating: Summary: Love it, I own 3! Comment: I own both the CT10 & two CT12 models. The caller ID on the CT12 was my reason for getting the updated model. It stores the last 70 calls and has a phone book feature for frequently called people. I will never go back to a regular phone! The ability to multi-task wearing these headsets is priceless! The sound quality is good and the batteries last for a fairly long period of time. I find it is perfect for free VIOP calls made on the internet and have one just for my majicJack device so I can have both hands free for computer work while on the phone. I occasionally wear it outside and around my building to the laundry and it gets a bit scratchy away from the base unit, but anywhere in the home it works great. The Firelfy headset (a blinking light on the mic tip) tells others you are on a call. It doesn't have a volume control, but I did buy a replacement Plantronics headset (M210C) that was not a Firefly that did. IMO, this headset feature is a must. I often find myself turning the call volume down, esp if they are on a cell phone in a busy area, as they are a bit too loud.
My only complaints about the CT12: you cannot answer or talk on the phone while the unit is still in the cradle. That is my biggest complaint but it is not a real big issue. So, if you have a low battery you can't talk on it until you remove it from the charger. (This is not the case with the older CT-10). Also, the clip on the unit is a weak link as there isn't much tension, so I have had it fall off my clothes a lot. It is pretty sturdy as it hasn't broken yet even though it has hit the floor quite a few times! Overall, I recommend it to everyone I know with a home phone and have bought three for myself plus for some friends. Customer Rating: Summary: Wonderful product! Comment: I work from home and much of it is on the telephone. I am also hard of hearing. I have tried numerous phones with headsets, none of which had enough volume to overcome my hearing loss. In 2001 I found this Plantronics model and it has been a gem. In 2008 after a local search for a new phone that I could hear proved fruitless, I bought the Plantronics again. Once I had the second phone, I tested all the parts to see what it was that "broke" on the original phone. It turned out to be the step-down plug. So now I have two Plantronics phones and am glad of it!
