You will probably get hit on your neck very few times, but if you do, this protector does its job well. It will still hurt with this on, but it will hurt a lot less and you'll avoid those neck welts that make people wonder what you do when you get out of work (trust me on that one). It's comfortable enough that you'll forget you're wearing it. If you don't have a high-collar jersey, this is a must. Comment: The first time I played paintball, while running across the field a rogue ball went up and under my mask and caught me right on the upper neck. EXTREME PAIN! I bought one of these and that is the last time that will happen. Only con is on extremely hot days it can get a little itchy but it is worth it in the long run.
