This works well on serious muscle knots without getting my hair or the massager material caught in the rolling balls. I really like it. Other than the fact that it's a little bulky to travel with - it's great.
I don't use it as a back massager. I use it for my calves and feet.
After a long day at work - I set in on the floor to massage the arch of my foot. Other times - I set it up on the couch or bed and lay my leg onto it. You can put your leg pretty much right in the middle of the rotating balls and it works the muscle. Little tricker getting the side of your leg, but it can be done.
If you were like me and didn't want to spend the $$ on those huge massaging devices, and found pretty much all the other reviews on about every other product was awful.... go for this one. It's not too expensive and yes - will works great for your calves and feet.
