It started with the desire to get away from plastic and the prices that I found in stores just didn't compare. Everything arrived in tact and we use the containers for everything. Happy except for one glitch. One of the medium sized dishes had a good sized chip on the upper edge. Rather than have the hassle of contacting UPS and shipping the set back we decided to ignore this.We chucked the dish.We are old geezers and don't like fuss. After all the recent negative news about heating food in plastic containers I wanted a set of glass containers for reheating food in the microwave. These have been wonderful. They seal very well. I pack them in my lunch for work and have never had a leak or spill. They also wash up very nicely in the dishwasher. The variety of sizes are great for all sorts of needs. I use the smaller ones to pack in lunches and the larger for storing leftovers. I would definitely recommend this set.
