Customer Rating: Summary: Screen Freezes, and I've had 4 sidekick replacements! Comment: I've had my phone for almost 2 years now in June. The phone was great at first but then started freezing up, and of course T-Mobile has no idea what's wrong, so they send me out a second phone. The second phone's battery completely died and they tried charging me $70 for a new one! I took it to the store and they said it was actually the plug in on the phone, so they tell me to send my whole phone in, while I had to wait 2 weeks without a phone because they couldn't even get me a loner one. Then they send me a refurbished piece of junk that did not work again, I am on my 4th sidekick and it still freezes up. They won't let me upgrade sooner for a better price, so I'm screwed with it.
Good part is the keyboard, that's it! very difficult to flip open to dial a phone number in case of emergency. I've needed it many times and while driving, it is very difficult! Save your money, don't buy it! Go with the CURVE INSTEAD, OR GO TO VERIZON! Customer Rating: Summary: SO BUY ONLY IF YOU ARE WILLING TO TAKE THE SAME RISK!!!!! Comment: I will make this quick and to the point. I bought the phone and loved it for about 3 months and then i droped it once. then everything started to go wrong. the screen would go blanc randomly, it would constantly go backwards through apps, before i got rid of it i couldnt even answer calls. This though is not a one time deal though. Many other people suffered the same fate and that is why the new sidekick x or something has a completely new system outlay. Be smart and by the new verson or switch to verizon because the envy phone(when i had it before tmobil) was able to take a 200 lb door slaming on it and still working perfectly! SO BUY ONLY IF YOU ARE WILLING TO TAKE THE SAME RISK!!!!! Customer Rating: Summary: dont know? Comment: Well i've never had the sidekick but is it really $2.OO i need to know!!! so i can buy it!!!
Customer Rating: Summary: MINUS FIVE STARS! Comment: This is the worst phone I've ever used in my life! The signal in the sidekick is very low, when I got out of the subway I need to wait like 5 minutes for the phone to find the network again. The battery doesn't last what you expect a phone battery should lasts. It has some problems reading the SIM card everyonce in a while and needs to be restarted when you should be talking. my suggestion: DON'T BUY IT! Customer Rating: Summary: nice but a few flaws Comment: I've owned every sidekick that has come out and the size of these are ridiculous. They claimed that they made this one a lot smaller than the sidekick 2 but a side by side comparison shows only the tiniest difference. Also, they pretty much force customers to buy new memory cards since the one it comes with can only hold 8 to 10 songs. I've had mine for about a year and never over charge it and always keep it off during the night yet still has problems with the track ball only working occasionally. It would be nice for sharp to come out with a decent sized sidekick, but with the keyboard I guess it would be more comfortable to type with a larger phone. Otherwise everything is very well done and the camera has very clear pictures during the day but never at night (same as sidekick ii). Also pictures tend to smudge during slightest movements and need to be outdoors during the day to receive clear images. Nightmode is complete trash and shouldn't even be on the phone.
