Comment: My wedding was 10 weeks out and I tipped the scales at 220. There was no time for any more excuses. The Monday after I finished my last class, I hit the gym and took the maximum serving recommended (3 pills) just before I left the house. I would work one muscle a day, 3 different exercises and do cardio for at least 30 minutes, sometimes 50 depending on my stamina that day or time restraints. I would run 90% of the time, and my heart rate was rarely under 160 bpm.
I am not disclosing this as the "miracle pill." I work for a major wholesale corporation and numerous times we would have members return the product (regular Hydroxycut) half-empty because "it didn't do anything for them." Keep in mind, these people were overweight and obviously never stepped foot outside. My point is, you must...must, must, MUST...do some sort of activity every day that gets your heart rate up to where it is difficult to hold a conversation if you want dramatic results over a short period of time (2-3 months).
In terms of my diet, I ate much cleaner than before, but in no way was it strict. I just ate less and cut out fat where I could (no mayo or cheese on a sandwich, light dressing on a salad, etc.).
By the time my wedding came, I was very confident standing at the altar and was even more confortable on the beaches of St. Maarten with my shirt off. If I had an extra month, I really feel I could have had a noticeable six-pack. The end result was 193 lbs (27 lbs lost).
So, to recap. If you want results with this supplement, I recommend doing the following:
1. Take before your workout, and then take the next dose as recommended (I believe it was 6 hours after first dose).
2. Exercise and finish up with at least 30 minutes of cardio (I went to the gym at least 6 days a week, sometimes 7).
3. Portion control your meals (eat until you are comfortable, not STUFFED)
4. To keep myself motivated, I weighed myself before and after the gym. The difference was usually about 2 lbs lighter post-workout. The majority of this weight "lost" is water, but nonetheless, it was encouraging. The first time I saw under 200 was monumental.
Remember, people often get discouraged if they don't lose a lot of weight quickly. If you commit yourself to a 12-week fitness program with a decent diet, I promise you'll see results. If you go workout and come home and eat ice cream, forget about it!
With school underway for the Fall and no time to workout, I am trying to keep my weight under 200 lbs and when classes are over, it's back to the gym again and hopefully I can get under 190 by the time Spring classes roll around!
