Customer Rating: Summary: Excelent!!! Comment: Wow, is every thing that i expect it, very good, easy to use... work perfect!!! Customer Rating: Summary: It serves the frequent traveler well Comment: When I had a Ericsson R520, I had a micro travel charger for that phone. However, now I use a Sony Ericsson K510 and I wanted to replace the AC adapter with a micro charger. I prefer this over the corded charger because it's more compact and less messy. I travel often and have found myself on several occasions need to recharge the phone (such as at the airport, on the train). Since an electric outlet is not always available, the feature using AA battery power source is very useful. I give thumb up to the designer of this device. So far, it already helped me to make important calls when the main battery was depleted, it's worth the price. Customer Rating: Summary: Does a fair job Comment: bought this charger for a sony w580i. it fits the phone on the side, so that's a little goofy, but you still have functionality when it's plugged in. cover is handy though if you put it battery mode with no batteries in it, it's a little tough to remove. when putting in AA batteries it's a bit of a tight fit, but i guess this is to hold them in place. i first thought i had the wrong size. also i now realize the batteries probably help you open the cover.
noticed that the batteries got really hot when they finally went dead. a set of fresh batteries are good for about a 3 to 4 hour charge (about one and a half full charges by my estimate for the battery on the w580i). there is no warning when the AA batteries are dead, so you'll have to check periodically to make sure your phone is still charging. Customer Rating: Summary: Great travel charger Comment: No, it's not a car charger; it's a compact AC charger for newer Sony Ericsson phones. The green plastic cover helps made the device a small, slippery lozenge that sides into a carryon bag and doesn't hang up when you try to retrieve it again. Slide off the cover to expose the plug, find a socket, and you're up and running. The phone snaps into a fitting on top and the entire unit just stands there hanging off the socket. Mine is a North American version, with the typical blade plug ends. This summer in Europe I had the charger plugged in to adaptors for both UK outlets and to the typical Euro outlet; in both cases the phone and the charger STILL just stood there, hanging out from the wall. Plus, if an outlet is not available, the device accomodates a pair of AA batteries that will charge the phone's battery. For an SE phone this is the way to go. Customer Rating: Summary: Fantastic Tech Comment: I love this charger. It's compact and light. For travelling the green cover goes over the plug, making it more compact than the picture. The unit I recieved has a US plug, unlike the picture. It auto-ranges between US and European voltages. This will also charge Sony Ericsson bluetooth headsets such as my HBH-PV705. I haven't tried charging from AA batteries yet, but that's an interesting feature.
