I bought this for my bedroom after the a Honeywell Hz-2200 started to rattle after only 2yrs. This little unit is well built and will never rattle. BUT the thermostat is terrible. The room swings 8 degrees and the setting is never the same. I just ordered another Honeywell hz2200 - It kept the tempature at a predictable level, I just hope that this one lasts longer. We started using one right away, and the smell of hot plastic made me postpone opening the other one until I was sure the smell was temporary. When it hadn't gone away after 28 days, I returned the second one. I'm sensitive to odors like that. If they don't bother you, it's a decent heater in other respects; if they do, you may want to run it somewhere else for a good long time before you bring it into your living space.
One other complaint is that the "carrying handle" is just an indentation in the back that even my small fingers don't fit into well enough to pick the heater up securely. This little heater is worth its weight in gold in an RV.
